This Australian 1975 XB Ford Falcon Hardtop / Coupe, Mad Max Pursuit Special / Interceptor build in Progress started out as a solid Falcon 500 in fair shape, needing a restoration and a new life. It certianly is getting that.  Currently it is in the midst of a "No Time or Expense Spared" ground up restoration and conversion into the iconic Pursuit Special / Interceptor from Mad Max 1 here in our shop. It was first stripped to a bare shell with all due care taken, mounted on a body cart, media blasted to only clean metal, coated in DP90 to seal it while all of the rust and damage of its former life were removed and the time consuming and costly metalwork was completed. All of the metalwork has been completed and it has had our top of the line Aircraft Quality Composite Mad Max bodykit installed and is approaching the process of body finishing to prepare it for paint. The current owner made the decision to pass this amazing build in progress and opportunity on to the next Mad Max enthusiast.  The car comes complete with all of the removed XB Falcon specific parts and the couple Mad Max conversion bits that were on it at owner's purchase to complete the restoration / Mad Max build, and is already through some of the most time consuming parts of the build. As you can see it has the bodykit installed and faired in. You can buy it and have Mad Max Cars continue the build which comes with some amazing amenities you simply cannot buy (to be discussed with prospective buyers), or you can choose to finish the build yourself. It is at the perfect stage in the build to guide and tailor all the mechanical decisions, detail choices, finishing path and further cost direction to suit exactly how the build would best suit your ideal for a Mad Max Interceptor replica in your own garage.
